1959 Triumph TR-3A

This Triumph was first purchased by a couple in Santa Barbara, CA and they used it for 27 years. There is no rust or rust repair. The car was repainted the original color in the early Eighties.

Exterior: Cream

Interior: Black

During their ownership they kept a diary of the milage, gas, and repairs. They also took photos on the many trips and events that they attended with the TR-3. Upon their death in 1986, they left their house and the car to a neighbor. They had drained the fluids and put it on jack stands in the garage. Not having any use for the sports car, the neighbor kept it in the garage until recently when it was sold and made road worthy again. Basically a mechanical and interior restoration was performed on the car and it now runs and drives like new. The electronic overdrive allows freeway cruising at 3200 rpm at 73 mph.

Some of the work that was done includes:

  • the original engine has good compression but the
carbs were rebuilt and all hoses and belts changed
  • new tires and wheels restored,
  • all suspension and brakes rebuilt,
  • new carpet, top, side curtains, and seats,
  • radiator and gas tank flushed,
  • full safety check of all electrical
  • new luggage rack
  • all gauges rebuilt
