1956 Alfa Romeo 1900CSS

By Touring – Chassis #10468 and engine#10477

This car was a special order for a gentleman in Mexico and painted Verde Oceano which is a unique metallic color only used once on 1900 models according to Ferrigno Stefano of Lechler Paint in Italy, the supplier to Alfa Romeo.

Exterior: Verde Oceano

Interior: Beige

The color looks green in bright sunlight and changes to a blue with less light. All the original factory documentation from new including correspondence, both in Italian and Spanish with the buyer, authenticate the engine number and the color.

The aluminum body was removed to allow access to the tubular chassis so a comprehensive restoration could be performed. Every part of the car was addressed and brought up to Pebble Beach standards. The restoration will be completed by the end of May, with the exception of some break-in miles and there is extensive photo documentation of the restoration.

Although this Alfa is being restored to show quality it can also be used in any event world wide as it will drive as good as it looks.
