Body# *87*1720*

This car is for sale as a partially finished restoration with work still left to be completed. The metal work has been professionally finished repairing any rust or body damage; the body is very straight with good gaps at all panels. The bare metal was wiped down with Acetone, cleaned with POG15 metal prep, then neutralized with water. Then 80 grit paper was used to clean the metal surface and then self-etching black primer, GAL#5425-5 STAR EXTREME 2K DMT was applied over the entire surface area especially the corners and hard to reach spots to prevent further surface rust. There is no body filler or bondo anywhere on the car. All the chrome has been fitted to the body but still needs to go to the chrome plater.

The car has been rough assembled to better show the parts that are included in the sale including the window regulators and all glass. Most of the interior is in the car including the gauges and the original wiring harness. Other parts included with the car are pictured next to the car on the ground. The car rolls and steers to facilitate shipping.

The engine is essentially complete except for the cams, valves, pistons, and liners. Photos show the various parts that are included and the internal #337 which is stamped on various components. The engine has been rough assembled and installed in the car for shipping.

Some of the work still to be done includes:

  • Purchase parts to rebuild engine and rebuild
  • Purchase and install a new wiring harness
  • Restore the suspension, brakes, and drive line
  • Restore the fuel system, cooling system, and carbs
  • Purchase and install a drive shaft
  • Purchase and install new rubber
  • Prep and paint car

The car is sold with a clear CA title and current plates. It is available for inspection, with an appointment, in Ventura, CA. There are some missing parts but all are available at various Alfa parts dealers. Click the button below to download all images.
